Aban Smart System L.L.C.(“Aban Smart System”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and safeguard personal data through our website at abansmart.ae (the “Site”) and the related strategy and consulting services we offer.

We process personal data in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 concerning the Protection of Personal Data (the “PDPL”) and other applicable laws.

1. Data we collect

We collect personal data in the following categories:

  • Information you submit — name, organisation, email, phone, the inquiry type, and any message you send through the contact form on the Site.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser, device type, referring URL, and pages viewed, captured automatically when you load the Site.
  • Communications — email or call content if you reach out directly, retained for the purposes of responding and providing services.

2. How we use your data

We use personal data to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide consulting and integration services.
  • Operate, maintain, and improve the Site, including security and abuse prevention.
  • Comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
  • Communicate updates, proposals, and project deliverables relevant to our engagement with you.

3. Lawful basis for processing

We process personal data on the lawful bases set out in the PDPL — including your consent, the performance of a contract with you, our legitimate business interests in operating and improving the Site, and compliance with our legal obligations.

4. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell personal data. We share data only with service providers who help us operate the Site, and only to the extent needed to deliver their service:

  • Hosting — Vercel Inc., which operates our edge and serverless infrastructure.
  • Form intake — OmniInbox (operated by the Kanz.ai group), which processes contact-form submissions on our behalf.
  • Email — the email provider routing messages to and from @abansmart.ae.

We may also disclose data when required by law, regulation, court order, or to protect our rights and the safety of others.

5. International transfers

Some of our service providers operate outside the UAE. Where personal data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards permitted under the PDPL, including transfers to jurisdictions with adequate protection and contractual commitments imposed on the recipient.

6. Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy, to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.

7. Your rights

Under the PDPL you have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Request erasure or restriction of processing in certain circumstances.
  • Object to processing based on our legitimate interests.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, where processing relies on consent.
  • Request that data be transferred to another controller in a structured format.
  • Lodge a complaint with the UAE Data Office.

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk — including TLS in transit, access controls, server-side handling of secrets, and least-privilege access for our team. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

The Site is not directed to children under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. The “Last updated” date at the top indicates when the policy was last revised. Material changes will be highlighted on the Site.
