smartData Protection & Archiving

One form, one purpose

The only personal information this website holds is whatever you decide to type into an enquiry form.

There is no account to create, no login, no profile built in the background, and no advertising technology anywhere on the site.

We ask for a work email because an archive enquiry needs a reply, not because we want a marketing list.

Most privacy policies are long because the site behind them is doing a lot. This one is short because this site is doing very little. Browsing pages, reading a datasheet or downloading a manufacturer PDF requires nothing from you and records nothing about you in your browser. The single point at which personal information enters our hands is an enquiry form, and it enters only because you filled it in and pressed send. Everything below describes that one path: which fields exist, where the submission travels, who reads it, and how to have it removed.

What we collect when you enquire

The forms on this site ask for a small, fixed set of details, and you can see all of them before you type anything.

Field Required Why it is there
Full name Yes So a reply can be addressed to a person
Organisation Yes Requirements are scoped by organisation, not by individual
Work email Yes The reply channel
Phone No Only if you would rather be called
Country Yes Availability, lead times and support arrangements differ by country
Role No Helps pitch the answer at the right technical depth

Each form then adds a free-text box and, depending on the form, optional technical fields: workload type, approximate capacity, growth rate, retention requirement, recovery objective, target timeline. Fill or leave them as you prefer. Describing an estate without naming it makes the reply no less useful.

Two hidden values ride along and neither identifies you: a decoy field only bots complete, and the milliseconds between page load and send. Both are anti-spam checks, both are discarded before the enquiry is forwarded.

Nothing else is gathered. No tracking pixels, no advertising identifiers, no behavioural profiling, and no cookies. The cookie policy sets out the engineering detail behind that last claim.

Where a submission travels

When you press send, the browser posts the form contents to an endpoint on abansmart.ae itself over an encrypted connection. There is no third-party form service sitting in the middle collecting a copy.

That endpoint checks the submission is complete and not automated, strips the anti-spam values, and hands the rest to whichever delivery route is configured: the business inbox that receives enquiries, or the customer relationship system used to track them. The site itself keeps no database of submissions.

Contents are read by whoever needs to answer, in practice a technical consultant plus, if a quotation follows, the person preparing it. Nothing is sold, rented or passed on for someone else's marketing.

Separately, the hosting platform records ordinary request information such as IP address and browser type in its operational logs, as any web server does. That logging serves security and fault diagnosis and is not joined up with submissions.

How long we keep enquiry data

An enquiry that goes nowhere has no reason to be kept indefinitely. Submissions are held while the conversation is live, plus a limited period afterwards so a returning enquirer need not repeat everything, and are then deleted. Where an enquiry becomes a quotation or a contract, those records pass into ordinary commercial record-keeping for as long as accounting and contractual obligations require.

The precise period, in months, is being fixed with our advisers before launch and will be stated here once settled. Better an unfinished sentence than a number nobody has committed to.

Your choices and how to exercise them

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask for it to be deleted. You can also withdraw the consent you gave when submitting a form, and doing so does not affect a reply already sent.

Requests can be made through the contact form; write "data request" in the message box and describe what you want done. A named contact point for privacy matters, together with a postal address, will be published on this page before the site goes live. We are not printing an address or mailbox here that has not been confirmed.

This policy was last reviewed on 9 August 2026. Legal review remains outstanding: the text was drafted internally and will be checked by qualified advisers before launch. Read it as an accurate description of current practice rather than as advice.

Frequently asked questions

No. There is no newsletter, no marketing automation, and no list to be added to. Your details are used to answer the enquiry you sent. If a marketing programme is introduced later it will be opt-in, described on this page first, and it will not retrospectively sweep in addresses collected under this policy.

Turn your requirement into a defensible architecture

Share the workload, capacity, retention, access, and resilience requirements. Aban Smart will identify the next discovery inputs and the appropriate engagement path.
