The rules for this website
Short terms for a website that asks little of you: read it, quote it with attribution, and do not pass the manufacturers' work off as your own.
These terms cover the site itself. They are separate from, and subordinate to, any signed agreement between your organisation and Aban Smart.
Where a clause has not been settled with our advisers yet, this page says so instead of borrowing wording from somewhere else.
Using abansmart.ae means accepting what is set out below. If any of it is unacceptable, the remedy is straightforward: stop using the site. These terms apply to the pages, diagrams, downloadable documents and enquiry forms alike, and they sit alongside two related notices: the disclaimer, covering the reliability of published technical claims, and the privacy policy, covering enquiry details. Where a signed contract exists between your organisation and ours, it prevails over anything written here.
Permitted use of this site
You are welcome to read the pages, print them, save them, and circulate extracts inside your organisation while evaluating suppliers. Quoting a passage in an internal report, a shortlist paper or a tender evaluation is fine, provided the source is identified and the extract is not edited into saying something it does not say.
What is not permitted is narrower than it sounds.
- Republishing pages or downloadable documents on another website, or in a commercial publication, without written permission.
- Presenting our material, or a manufacturer's material hosted here, as the work of another party.
- Systematic scraping, bulk downloading or mirroring of the document library, as opposed to retrieving what you need.
- Probing, load-testing or interfering with the enquiry endpoint or the server behind it.
- Submitting a form with false attribution, for spam, or for anything unlawful.
Pages are revised as products, availability and our own understanding change, without notice or version history. Save a dated copy of any wording you intend to rely on. Access may also be restricted, withdrawn or taken offline for maintenance, and no continuous availability is promised.
Intellectual property and third-party material
The page text, structure, diagrams and layout of this site belong to Aban Smart or are used with permission. That ownership is not transferred by your reading, printing or quoting them.
The manufacturer material is a different matter and worth being precise about. Datasheets, manuals, technical drawings, product photography, brand names and logos relating to QStar, INCOM/StorEasy and DISC remain the property of those companies. They appear here to support an evaluation. Nothing on this site grants you, or us, a licence to their trademarks or copyright beyond that purpose, and nothing here should be read as those manufacturers endorsing or approving our commentary.
Trademarks belonging to any other organisation mentioned on the site stay with their owners as well. They are used to identify products accurately, which is the only reason to use somebody else's mark.
If you believe material published here infringes a right you hold, tell us through the contact form with enough detail to identify the item, and we will review it and remove or correct it where the complaint is well founded.
Limits on our liability
To the maximum extent the applicable law permits, Aban Smart accepts no liability for loss arising from your use of this site or from reliance on anything published on it. That covers indirect and consequential loss, lost profits, lost data, lost contracts and business interruption, and it covers loss arising from interruption, error or unavailability of the site.
Two carve-outs are worth stating because they are not ours to exclude. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
A professional obligation genuinely owed to you would arise from a signed engagement with a defined scope and its own liability terms, never from a web page. Requesting an assessment is how that relationship starts. Links out to external sites are references only; we control neither their content nor their availability.
Governing law, and what is still to be settled
This section is deliberately incomplete. The governing law and the jurisdiction in which disputes would be heard depend on the registered entity, the countries in which the business contracts, and advice we have not yet received. Rather than assert a jurisdiction that may turn out to be wrong, the clause is left open and will be completed before launch.
The same applies to the identity of the contracting entity named in these terms, and to a formal notices address. Both are pending confirmation.
Version date: last reviewed 9 August 2026. These terms are unexecuted draft wording, pending review by the company's legal advisers, and reading them is no substitute for taking advice of your own.
Frequently asked questions
Yes. Quoting or attaching material for an internal shortlist, evaluation report or procurement file is exactly the use this site is written for. Attribute the source and keep the extract intact. If you need a statement in a form that will bind us, ask for it in writing instead, because a web page is not a tender response.
